Singapore, 21 April 2026 – EFGH has appointed Magdalena Smolak as Head of Central & Eastern Europe, underscoring the Group’s next phase of international growth and commitment to building trusted financial infrastructure across high-growth markets.
Based in Singapore, Magdalena will lead EFGH’s market entry, strategic partnerships and commercial development across Central & Eastern Europe. Her mandate is to establish the relationships, local access and execution platform needed to expand the Group’s presence across one of Europe’s most dynamic regions.
Magdalena brings a strong track record in cross-border business development, ecosystem building and international market expansion.
For close to a decade, she has played an active role connecting Central & Eastern Europe with Southeast Asia through trade promotion, innovation partnerships and commercial growth initiatives. Her experience spans government engagement, startup ecosystems, fintech development and enterprise partnerships across multiple markets.
She previously led the Singapore office of the Polish Investment & Trade Agency, where she worked closely with businesses, investors and institutions to deepen economic ties between Europe and Asia via Poland and Singapore as gateway hubs
Her appointment comes as Central & Eastern Europe gains increasing importance as a growth corridor driven by digital transformation, industrial competitiveness, skilled talent pools and stronger Singapore-Europe trade links.
For EFGH, the region represents a natural next step in its global expansion strategy.
Dennis Ng, Executive Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer of EFGH, said:
“Magdalena understands how to turn relationships into results. She knows how to build trust, unlock opportunities and move with speed across markets. That combination makes her the right leader to help extend EFGH into Central & Eastern Europe.”
Magdalena Smolak said:
“Central & Eastern Europe is a region with deep talent, strong industrial capability and growing international ambition. I look forward to building meaningful partnerships, creating commercial opportunities and helping establish EFGH as a trusted long-term partner in the region.”
Magdalena will work closely with Group leadership from Singapore as EFGH builds its Central & Eastern Europe platform.
