Embed Financial Group Cayman Holdings (EFGH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Distinguished Professor Patrick H.M. Loh HonDSc (Murdoch), BBM, PBM to its Global Advisory Board, with immediate effect.
Professor Loh's career spans nearly three decades across plant science, governance, entrepreneurship and fintech. In November 2024, he was conferred the inaugural title of Singapore Distinguished Professor by Murdoch University, Australia, in recognition of his contributions to plant sciences, bio-innovation, entrepreneurship, and research and industry collaboration. In 2023, he was conferred the title of Honorary Professor in Perpetuity by the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) - the only senior faculty member of the university to receive this lifelong honour.
In governance and fintech, Professor Loh serves as Senior Fellow at the Centre for Governance and Sustainability (CGS), NUS Business School, National University of Singapore. In 2024, he was appointed Co-Chairman and Board Director of the Global Fintech Institute. In May 2025, he was appointed Chairman of the Advisory Board of Murdoch University in Singapore. In November 2025, he was appointed Technical Committee Member of the Complementary Medicine and Health Products–Singapore Standards Committee, EnterpriseSG, supporting the internationalisation of Singapore Standards (ISO).
Professor Loh is Co-Founder and Chairman of Singapore Sciences and Sinoagro Group, and a Life Member of the Singapore Institute of Directors. He served as Agri-Adviser to the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) from 2002 to 2011. His community leadership has been recognised with the Bintang Bakti Masyarakat (Public Service Star, 2006) and the Pingkat Bakti Masyarakat (Public Service Medal, 2001), both conferred by the President of the Republic of Singapore.
